Katherine Holabird, author of the NDW Childrens' Spokescharacter, Angelina Ballerina®, was present at the Times Square Toys R Us store in New York City on April 21, 2006, for the dual Launching of the Angelina® line of Sababa Toys and the Kickoff of National Dance Week 2006. The event was attended by crowds of children and adults alike who were privileged to hear Ms Holabird give a reading of her latest Angelina® publication. The esteemed author was accompanied by Angelina®, "herself", and Ballerinas, Alanna Barbone and Stephanie Swensen, who acted out the story as Ms Holabird read it. The ballerinas are models from and their costuming was provided courtesy of the Art Stone Theatrical/The Competitor costume company.
